Description: Roman steelyard scale comprising a lead filled bronze counterweight with iron loop and hook. Bronze bar to which attached iron hook and a bronze hook for suspending apparatus. There are three hooks for suspending items to be weighed - one bronze hook attached directly to bar the other hooks, one bronze and one iron are attached by chains that are attached to the end of the bronze bar.
